  • Things To Do

Are you looking for something to do this Saturday that combines the holiday season with a touch of history? Head over to Peter Wentz Farmstead from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for their first-ever Holiday Open House! Come and celebrate the coming of winter in 18th-century style.

Explore the historic house, watch a Colonial cooking demonstration, and if you've been good this year, you might receive a treat from the Belsnickel. You can also create natural ornaments for our Wildlife Tree, providing festive enjoyment for birds and squirrels.

After a delightful day at Peter Wentz Farmstead, head over to the Morgan Log House for their annual Candlelight program from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., "Christmas through the Centuries."

This evening event invites you to journey through different eras and discover how Christmas was celebrated during the Colonial Era, the Victorian Era, and the Great Depression Era while strolling through the candlelit historic home.

Enjoy live music, a festive craft activity, and delicious hot chocolate and cookies. This year, Morgan Log House partnered with Toys for Tots, and instead of an admission fee, we kindly request that you bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.
