A day dedicated to compassion and community connection will return to Upper Gwynedd this weekend, as Unity for Kindness Day brings music, food and family-friendly activities to Parkside Place.
The free event will take place Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park’s pavilion and amphitheater, offering a mix of live entertainment, community performances and a food truck festival designed to bring residents together.
Headlining the event is Steamroller, a James Taylor tribute band, providing live music throughout the afternoon. Organizers said the day will also include speakers, local performances and opportunities to connect with community groups, all centered around the theme of spreading kindness and celebrating diversity.
A wide range of food vendors will be on site, including Wrap N’ Roll, Blue Haze BBQ, Mosahava, Humpty's Dumplings, The Sugar Cycle, Philly Funnel Cake, Bishop Estate Winery and Ten7 Brewery, among others.
Upper Gwynedd Parks and Recreation officials said the event is intended to offer something for everyone while promoting a positive message of inclusion and support. As part of the program, a kindness award will be presented to a nominated member of the community in recognition of their impact.
Organizers are also inviting nonprofit organizations to participate by hosting informational tables and engaging with attendees.
Unity for Kindness Day is open to the public and free to attend.
