Two Montgomery County men were arrested after Lower Salford Township Police allegedly discovered them hiding inside a condemned and abandoned home on Harleysville Pike alongside suspected burglary tools and stolen property.

Jason Adam Lombardi, 52, of the 300 block of Main Street, Schwenksville, and Kevin Patrick O’Brien, 44, of the 700 block of West Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting, were both charged May 6 with felony burglary, felony criminal trespass, conspiracy and related offenses stemming from the incident at a condemned property in the 900 block of Harleysville Pike, according to police affidavits.

O’Brien was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance after police allegedly found suspected crystal methamphetamine in his pocket.

According to the affidavit, police were dispatched around 9:06 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, after a complainant reported two people being dropped off outside the vacant residence, which had been condemned by Lower Salford Township. One individual reportedly carried a black backpack while the other held a red item in his hands.

Police said officers arrived to find the front door partially open and a nearby window also opened. Officers announced themselves several times and ordered anyone inside to exit, but received no response, according to the complaint. Police alleged a man wearing a black sweatshirt and headlight was seen running from the kitchen area toward the garage while ignoring commands to stop.

After establishing a perimeter and conducting a search of the property, officers allegedly located Lombardi hiding underneath boxes in a small garage room and later found O’Brien hiding inside a bedroom closet.

Investigators said they recovered a black backpack containing DeWalt tools marked with another person’s initials, along with screwdrivers, crowbars and other tools commonly associated with burglary activity.

Police alleged O’Brien admitted some items found in his sweatshirt had been taken from inside the residence. Officers also allegedly recovered suspected crystal methamphetamine and $530 cash from O’Brien’s pocket during a search incident to arrest.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records and information provided by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office
