Lansdale Police are reminding residents that help is available as part of Mental Health Awareness Month, urging the community to prioritize well-being and support those who may be struggling.
In an announcement this week, the department emphasized that “mental health matters — every day, for everyone,” encouraging individuals to seek help if needed and to check in on friends, family members and neighbors.
For immediate support, residents can call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, which is available 24/7. Additional local assistance is available through Montgomery County Adult Mobile Crisis at 1-855-634-4673, as well as the National Alliance on Mental Illness, which provides education, resources and support for individuals and families.
Lansdale Police also noted that the department has a dedicated mental health co-responder, Alexis Moyer, who works directly with the community to connect individuals in need with appropriate services. She can be reached through the department at 215-368-1801.
Officials said the goal is to reduce stigma and ensure residents know they are not alone when facing mental health challenges.
