Summer in Quakertown is about to find its soundtrack

The Univest Performance Center’s annual Sounds of Summer Concert Series, presented by Sands Auto Group, returns in early June with a six-show lineup that stretches across decades, genres and generations—offering everything from sun-soaked harmonies to hard rock riffs under the night sky.

The series kicks off June 5 with none other than The Beach Boys, whose catalog helped define the sound of American summers. The performance celebrates 60 years of Pet Sounds, the band’s landmark 1966 album widely considered one of the most influential in music history, while also tying into the nation’s 250th anniversary.

One week later, June 12, the volume cranks up with Skillet, the Grammy-nominated rock group known for explosive live shows and hits like “Monster” and “Hero.” Organizers said reserved seating for that show is already nearly sold out.

From there, the series rolls through a genre-hopping summer:

  • July 10 – Black Stone Cherry: The Kentucky-based band blends Southern rock with modern hard rock, earning a loyal following with high-energy performances and chart-topping albums overseas.
  • July 23 – Yachtley Crew: A tongue-in-cheek but musically tight tribute to the smooth sounds of late ’70s and early ’80s yacht rock, delivering hits from Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald and more with polished flair.
  • Aug. 8 – Air Supply: The legendary duo behind timeless ballads like “All Out of Love” and “Lost in Love,” bringing decades of chart success and nostalgia to the stage.
  • Sept. 4 – Get The Led Out: A fan-favorite tribute act dedicated to faithfully recreating the studio recordings of Led Zeppelin in a full concert experience.

Organizers say the series has become more than just a run of concerts—it is a seasonal gathering place where music and community intersect. Each show features local food trucks, along with beverages from Spinnerstown Hotel, creating a festival-like atmosphere around the performances.

Held at the Univest Performance Center in Quakertown, the venue offers both reserved seating and lawn options, giving concertgoers flexibility whether they prefer a close-up experience or a laid-back night on the grass.

With opening night just weeks away and strong ticket demand already building — especially for Skillet— organizers are encouraging fans to secure seats early.

Tickets for all shows are available at UnivestPerformanceCenter.com.

If summer had a mixtape, this one would be stacked.
