Upper Gwynedd Township will mark Earth Day with a free community event aimed at raising awareness about plastic pollution and environmental sustainability.

The event will take place Wednesday at Parkside Place Park, beginning at 10 a.m., and will center around the 2026 theme, “Planet vs. Plastics.”

Organizers said the family-friendly event will feature crafts, face painting, gardening activities and storytime hosted by the North Wales Area Library, along with opportunities to learn how residents can reduce plastic use and improve environmental health.

Township officials said the event is designed to bring the community together while promoting simple, everyday actions that can help protect local ecosystems and waterways. Admission is free, and residents are encouraged to attend and participate.
