The Farmers Union Horse Company held a Spring Hunter Derby on Saturday at the Heyser Field Riding Ring in Fairview Village, Worcester Township. About 50 riders participated.
Preparation and planning started in January, according to Bill McGrane, Farmers Union president, noting that young members of the Farmers Union came together over the weeks leading up to the show to make some new jumps for the ring.
“It was great to see things come full circle,McGrane said. “Young ladies who not that long ago were themselves beginner riders, were giving back by organizing and executing a successful horse show.
