Overturned tractor trailer slows traffic on Northeast Extension Wednesday morning

At least one person was extricated from an overturned tractor trailer in Towamencin

At least one person was extricated after a tractor trailer overturned on the Northeast Extension in the area of the Lansdale exit Wednesday morning.     

Emergency crews responded to the scene around 10:21 a.m. after a tractor trailer was reported to be overturned in the Southbound lanes of the Northeast Extension. At least one occupant was reported to be stuck inside the vehicle, requiring extrication by emergency crews. Responders rescued the driver, who was then transported to an area hospital with unknown injures.

    
Traffic was reduced to one lane, causing congestion in the area. The Pennsylvania State Police was assisted at the scene by Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company, and Skippack Emergency Medical Services Inc.
