One patient was taken to an area hospital after a 3-wheeled motorcylcle overturns in Franconia, and a Ford pickup flips in Lower Salford, after leaving 50-yard skidmark
Indian Valley first responders were busy Wednesday night after responding to two different accidents wherein vehicles overturned and sent one person to an area hospital in each one.
Around 8:36 p.m., a motorcycle accident was reported in the area of Bergey Road and Telford Pike in Franconia Township. Initial reports indicated an ATV landed on top of someone in the middle of the roadway.
The rider was reported conscious and safely off the vehicle, police said.
At the scene, a three-wheeled motorcycle was lying on its side.
Perseverance Fire Co. of Souderton, Telford Fire Co., Franconia Police and VMSC Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene.
Then, a half hour later, Lower Salford Police, Harlesyville Fire Co., Skippack EMS and Harleysville Fire Police responded to the 100 block of Yoder Road in Lower Salford Township for a report of a vehicle overturned, with all occupants exiting the vehicle.
According to reports from the scene, one Ford pickup truck was found on its roof and one man was stretchered into a waiting ambulance. The patient was eventually transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
A long tire mark about 50 yards in length was leading up to the overturned truck, per reports from the scene.
Yoder Road was closed between Fretz and Clemens roads for about an hour as crews processed the scene.
