Get ready to swing into summer fun as the Hatfield Family Classic Golf Tournament returns this Friday at Twin Woods Golf Course in Hatfield Township.

Presented by 309 Office Furniture & Design, this unique 9-hole tournament invites families to hit the links in a friendly, scramble-style competition.

With tee times at 9 a.m., 1 p.m., and 5 p.m., the Hatfield Family Classic is designed as a family-first event. Registered teams consist of two players — such as a father-son, mother-daughter, grandparent-grandchild, or uncle-niece pairing — and will compete in one of three age-based divisions. The divisions are split into Under 14, Under 18, and Adult, based on the age of the youngest golfer. At least one team member must be 18 or older, according to Twin Woods.

The tournament follows a scramble/best ball format, where both teammates tee off and then play their next shots from the better ball position — perfect for golfers of all skill levels.

Carts are required for all teams, and players must bring their own clubs; a limited number of rental sets will be available for an added fee. No walkers or club-sharing will be permitted.

While registration is now closed, excitement continues to build around this rain-or-shine event, with local sponsors such as the Hatfield Police Benevolent Association (10th Hole Sponsor), Hunyady Auction Company, and George Didden Greenhouses Inc. lending their support.

The venue, Twin Woods Golf Course, has been a Hatfield staple since 1965. This picturesque public course is beloved for its mix of scenic views, thoughtfully designed holes, and community-friendly atmosphere — making it the perfect backdrop for a day of family bonding and friendly competition.
