Penndale Middle School presents: Disney’s Newsies from March 7 - 9. Performances will be held on March 7 and 8 at 7 p.m., and March 9 at 2 p.m.
Based on the real-life Newsboys’ Strike of 1899 and featuring a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman, Disney’s Newsies tells the rousing story of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy who leads a band of young workers in a fight for justice against powerful publishers. With high-energy dance numbers, unforgettable songs like “Seize the Day” and “Carrying the Banner”, and a story of perseverance and courage, this production is sure to entertain and inspire.
