Police on scene of accident with reported injuries involving car into a utility pole

An 18-year-old female was transported via VMSC Emergency Medical Services to Grand VIew Hospital with non life-threatening injuries Monday morning following a one-vehicle accident involving a vehicle into a pole and fire hydrant on West Main Street near Edgemont Avenue in Lansdale Borough.

Commuters and witnessed reported at least one person was out of the vehicle and a fire hydrant was knocked over, which occurred shortly before 10 a.m. Airbags were deployed in the vehicle, per reports from the scene.

The patient reported back pain, according to Montgomery County emergency radio traffic.

No fire personnel were dispatched to the accident, as of 10:20 a.m. Monday.
