First responders are cleaning up a fuel spill in Montgomery Township today, as 100 gallons of liquid was leaked onto the roadway.

Emergency calls were made to Montgomery County Dispatch at 4:38 p.m. Monday for a Vehicle Leaking Fluid. A large tractor trailer was pulled into the median in the vicinity of County Line Road at Limekiln Pike. The black tractor trailer has been pulled into median, as Montgomery Township Police and township fire units assist at the scene. Spills were said to have occurred in the eastbound lanes of County Line.

A fuel spill seems to be down the center turning lane running down through the two roads’ intersection. Dry clean-up materials have been dusted over the fuel. According to reports, over 100 gallons have been spilled into the roadway. All fluids, according to reports, were on the Montgomery County, and not Bucks, side of the roadway.

Both lanes of travel are open at this hour, as crews work to clear the spill. Traffic is slowed, however, and drivers should avoid the area if possible.

No visible collision or damages were seen on or around the truck, and the cause of the incident is still under investigation at this hour. More information will be provided as it is made available.
