A Lansdale man has been charged with felony rape of a child and numerous counts of indecent assault of a child under 13, stemming from incidents that allegedly occurred in 2018 when the victim was five years old.

A warrant for arrest was issued by Lansdale Police for 25-year-old Md Hossin on Sept. 25, for the incident that occurred in May 2018 at a home on East Main Street.

Hossin has also been charged with two felony counts each of aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault on a person less than 13 years old, and contact with a minor for purpose of sexual offenses, according to court documents, as well as two misdemeanor counts of indecent assault on a person less than 13, according to court records.

On July 25, Lansdale Police and the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth received a referral regarding allegations the sexual abuse of a female juvenile victim, police said. In a follow up interview with investigators, the girl alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Hossin on multiple occasions when he was 17 years old, according to charging documents.

On Sept. 3, Hossin was interviewed by police about the alleged incidents. Hossin reportedly said the incident happened once, and not the three or four times the victim alleged, per the complaint. He also told police that since the victim was little, she could not have “adult feelings,” per the affidavit.

Montgomery County detectives conducted a polygraph on Hossin, police said, however the results of the test were not included in the affidavit of probable cause.

Hossin is free on $100,000 bond and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Edward Levine, per court records.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
