2 suffer minor injuries in McDonald's parking lot crash Tuesday afternoon, police say

The accident that occurred in the parking lot of the McDonald’s at Montgomery Commons Shopping Center on Tuesday afternoon – flipping an SUV onto its side – remains under investigation Thursday, Montgomery Township Police said.

Police said the collision involved a 2012 Kia Optima and a 2019 Honda Accord Crosstour at 2:30 p.m. at the 1400 Welsh Road shopping center.

Two people suffered minor injuries and were taken to Grand View Hospital by VMSC EMS, police said.

The scene was cleared by 3:31 p.m. and five Montgomery Township Police units responded to the accident, police said.

No criminal charges are pending as of Thursday.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
