Lansdale Police want you to join the blue.

Borough police are accepting applicants for full-time police officer positions, as of Thursday. Applications will be accepted through June 21 at 4 p.m.

The starting salary, according to the department, is $73,582, as of the 2022 collective bargaining contract. The top patrol base salary is $122,638.

The department provides paid police academy training. Other benefits include pension, medical, dental and vision coverage, 13 paid holidays, up to 288 hours of vacation or personal time, shift differential, and a 457 Plan.

Act 120 is not required, police said. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, aged 21 or older, have a high school GED or diploma, and be physically fit. Furthermore, applicants must have completed two years, or 60 semester hours, from an accredited college OR have completed two years active duty military experience with an honorable discharge and/or eligibility for honorable discharge if still in the service OR have two years of experience as a certified law enforcement officer with a minimum 1,000 hours of actual on-the-job experience.
