2-vehicle accident closes Forty Foot Road in both directions in Towamencin Saturday night

A Towamencin Township Police SUV sustained heavy damage to its driver side after being involved in a crash with a white Ford Super Duty pickup truck at the intersection of Forty Foot and Detwiler roads Saturday evening. 

One person was taken to an area hospital by Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale. Their gender, age and condition is unknown at this time. 

Forty Foot Road has been closed in both directions, between the entrance to Morgandale and Towamencin Avenue. Detwiler Road is closed between the intersection and the entrance to Dock Mennonite Academy. 

Quarry Road remains open. 

The accident occurred at 7:14 p.m. 

Towamencin Township Police were assisted at the scene by Towamencin Vol. Fire Co. and Harlesyville Fire Police.
