Sunglasses and sun visors can safe a life.

New Britain Township Police want drivers to know – if you want your future to be bright, you gotta wear shades.

The police department reminded drivers that bright, sunny days are here and in full swing, but that also means sun glare when driving.

Police said sun glare is at its worst in the morning and evening rush.

“It would be prudent for drivers to use sunglasses to take the strain off their eyes; to use the sun visor to cut down on glare for better focus on the road ahead; to keep the interior and exterior windows clean; and to slow down when encountering sun glare to have better reaction time for unforeseen conditions ahead,” police said in a release.

Taking the time to prepare for sun glare, police said, physically and mentally can help avoid a crash and save your life.
