Police seeking whereabouts of runaway teenager from Perkasie area

Perkasie Borough Police is investigating the report of a missing 16-year-old boy from the Perkasie area.

Police said Nathan West has been entered into the national database as missing, and police are actively trying to locate him.

Information gathered so far indicates West voluntarily left his home and is declining attempts to reunite him with his parents, police said. He left his father's home on Aug. 7 and was expected to return on Sunday.

According to family Facebook posts, West is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 134 pounds. Furthermore, per family posts, he has turned off location filters and his cell phone.

There are no fundraising campaigns for West's search. Anything stating as such is a scam, according to a Facebook post.
