Crews responded to a structure fire just after 10 p.m. Friday night

Emergency responders are working to put out a structure fire that has been reported on a roof in Lower Salford. Crews were called out to Yoder Road in Harleysville, just after 10 p.m. Friday night.

Dispatched to the scene were Harleysville Fire Company, VMSC Lansdale, Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company, Hatfield Fire Company, Worcester Volunteer Fire Department, Upper Salford Fire Company, and Skippack Fire Company, as calls came into Montgomery County Emergency Dispatch at 10:07 p.m.

As of 10:45 p.m., other units were recalled, leaving only Harleysville, Hatfield, Towamencin, Upper Salford fire companies at the scene. Early reports at the scene are that no persons are inside the home.

Updates provided at 10:55 p.m. noted that several holes had been cut into the home's roof. Smoke was still heavy, though flames were not visible. Early searches did not find anyone in the house.
