Towamencin DAR Ships Christmas Care Packages to Troops Overseas

Boodle boxes were shipped last week by Towamencin Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to active-duty soldiers deployed during the Christmas holiday.

“Boodle” is a term used at the United States Military Academy at West Point for care packages. Ten of these packages were prepared by Chapter members Heather Wassel and Joan LaMonica for service members stationed in a cold environment.

Among the items contained in the Boodles were personal care items, toiletries, scarves, socks and gloves, games and food items, as well as a few holiday decorations and greetings cards containing $25 gift cards.
