Local Boy Scout Troops from North Penn and Souderton Area school districts recently held their annual Cub-o-Ree event at Parkside Place in Upper Gwynedd Township.
The event, which was open to boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 18, was held through the weekend of Oct. 9 and Oct. 10 and featured a variety of activities including slingshots, knot tying and crossing a rope bridge. This year’s theme for the event was “Space,” so there were additional theme-specific activities, organizers said.
“The event is a good place for the younger scouts to interact with and learn from older scouts,” said Jacqui Prince, committee member with Troop 51 and Pack 510 Wolf Den Leader. “It is also a great activity for families to come out and see what we offer and if this is something that their child would be interested in.”
