Spirit Gymnastics to Host Traveling ‘Beam Queen Bootcamp’ This Weekend

Gymnasts from multiple states are making their way to Spirit Gymnastics this weekend to have the opportunity to train with Olympian and other high-level coaches and judges.

Beam Queen Bootcamp is a two-day, traveling gymnastics event which focuses on skills, drills and body movement for the balance beam. The goal of the BQBC is to empower gymnasts to be confident on beam by strengthening their mental and physical techniques, as well as teach gymnasts how to perform and provide the tools to master balance beam — which also sets a good foundation for success in life.

There will be two sessions of clinics held over three days to accommodate the interest of gymnasts of all competitive levels.

"We were expecting to hold only one clinic, however it filled quickly so we were asked to hold a second session,” said Mary Burch, a coach with Spirit Gymnastics. “We are thrilled to be able to help even more gymnasts with a second session."

"At Spirit, we strive to provide the highest level of training for our gymnasts,” Burch said. “Being able to bring Beam Queen Boot Camp and these coaches into our facility is an honor. We look forward to working with and learning from them"

Spirit Gymnastics is a family owned and operated business. For more than 28 years, Spirit has produced numerous state and national champions. Spirit Gymnastics is located at 513 Dickerson Road in Upper Gwynedd Township.
