Montgomery County announced 319 new coronavirus cases and three additional deaths on Thursday afternoon.
Data shows that of the 319 cases reported Thursday, two cases occurred at long-term care facilities, one occurred at the county jail and the remaining 316 cases occurred within the community. The countywide total now stands at 17,672 confirmed positive cases.
North Penn Area Update
The Montgomery County COVID-19 Dashboard is no longer providing cumulative total cases by municipality since the beginning of the pandemic. Instead, the data now reveals cases by municipality over the last 30 days. The results, as of Nov. 19, are as follows:
The North Penn area saw 40 new cases since yesterday. In total, there have been 603 cases and three deaths over the last 30 days across the municipalities comprising North Penn School District.

Montgomery County Update
The countywide death toll from the coronavirus now stands at 860.
In the past seven days, there have been a total of 1,857 new cases reported in Montgomery County, which is an increase of 505 cases compared to the previous week. Additionally, the county’s seven-day PCR Test Positivity Rate currently stands at 7.2%.
According to the Montgomery County COVID-19 Dashboard, and as of Nov. 19, there are currently 218 county residents who are hospitalized due to the coronavirus, of which 30 require the use of a ventilator.
A breakdown of cases by hospital is not available. Montgomery County is now averaging 215.2 new cases per day over the most recent 14-day period.
State Level Update
Earlier on Thursday, Pennsylvania reported 7,126 new cases, which represents a single-day record for new cases and brings the state’s total to 288,978 confirmed positive cases.
The state also announced that there were 116 additional confirmed deaths, bringing the total to 9,581 confirmed deaths across the commonwealth. The 116 deaths reported on Wednesday represent the highest single-day increase since May 8.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 30,786 resident cases of COVID-19, and 6,265 cases among employees, for a total of 36,589 at 1,184 distinct facilities in 63 counties. Out of the state’s total deaths, 6,169 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
To date, 13,786 healthcare workers have tested positive for the coronavirus. Hospitalization statistics show that 2,952 people are currently hospitalized across the commonwealth, of which 318 require the use of a ventilator. 16% of medical/surgical beds and 16% of adult ICU beds are currently available.
In the last seven days, 389,594 tests have been administered in Pennsylvania, of which 38,484 returned positive results. The positivity rate over that period is 9.9%.
As of Nov. 19, 2,629,527 tests have been negative for the coronavirus. About 66% of those who have tested positive in Pennsylvania have since recovered, leaving an estimated 98,253 active cases across the state.
