Incumbent Republican state Rep. Todd Stephens has defeated Democratic challenger Jonathan Kassa in the race for Pennsylvania’s 151st Legislative District.
Final results posted by the Montgomery County Board of Elections show that Stephens received 20,772 votes (53%) to Kassa's 18,286 (47%), which is a margin os 2,486 votes.
In declaring victory on Thursday, Stephens thanked the voters of Horsham, Montgomery, Lower Gwynedd and Upper Dublin Townships for their continued faith in his leadership.
“In the face of an unprecedently negative campaign funded by out of state special interests, I am thankful the voters recognized my record of achieving real results for our families,” said Stephens. “I’d like to thank my wife, Nicole, my sons, Will and Ben, and the countless grassroots volunteers, who’ve supported me during this grueling campaign. I look forward to returning to Harrisburg and serving the community I love.”
North Penn Now is awaiting a response from the Kassa campaign, and will post their comments when received.
