Towamencin Police Resolve Suspicious Incident After Receiving Surveillance Footage

The investigation into what was initially believed to be a suspicious incident involving a child in Towamencin Township has been resolved, after police were able to identify the vehicle and driver, and the child was determined to be an adult.

Towamencin Township Police initially issued a release stating that they were attempting to locate and identify a small white vehicle with tinted windows that was traveling along Pross Road  at 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 14. The release stated that the vehicle slowed down in the vicinity of what was believed to be a child, and then child then ran away.

On Wednesday evening, police issued a follow up release stating that investigators were able to secure surveillance footage from a local business, and ultimately, the vehicle and driver were identified and the person running away was determined to be an adult, and not a child.

No other details were released.

Towamencin Township police offered thanks to everyone who assisted them with the investigation.
