NPSD Bus Drivers Place Second in Local Bus Safety Competition

The North Penn School District (NPSD) Transportation Department rolled out the competition last month at the 46th Annual Montgomery Bucks Pupil Transportation Association School Bus Safety Competition at William Tennent High School.

Fifty-nine drivers from 11 school districts and two contracted bus companies participated in the competition. Events included parallel parking, railroad crossing, backing up, straight line driving, diminishing clearance, right turns and a written exam.

The NPSD team of Gail Madge, Ed Madge, Jim Sparenga, Jynell Brunt, Joe Kicinski and Janice Perkins placed second overall. Due to their success, Gail, Ed and Jim are all headed to the state competition in June at State College.

Way to go NPSD Transportation Department!
