One Victim Trapped, Injured in Hatfield Vehicle Crash

UPDATE: Feb. 15, 10:34 p.m. - North Penn Now has learned that a second victim, who was in the passenger seat of the Viper, sustained lower extremity trauma and was taken via ambulance to the trauma unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. The victim reportedly said they are "ok," having sustained cuts and other minor injuries.

UPDATE: Feb. 15, 10:16 p.m. - The victim has been airlifted from the scene, but the roads remain closed. North Penn Now has also confirmed a tip that we received stating that the victim was driving a Dodge Viper.

UPDATE: Feb. 15, 9:41 p.m. - The injured driver has been freed from their vehicle, and is awaiting the arrival of the medevac to airlift them from the scene.

Police and emergency services personnel are currently responding to a two-vehicle accident in Hatfield at the intersection of Clemens and Fairgrounds roads.

Per our sources, the accident occurred at 9:18 p.m., and involves a car and a tractor trailer. The driver of the car is currently trapped in their vehicle, and medics have described the injury as “severe head trauma.” A medevac from JeffSTAT is currently being deployed to airlift the victim from the scene.

Both Clemens and Fairgrounds roads are closed, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area. Units from the Hatfield Township Police Department, Lansdale Volunteer Medical Services Corps and Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company are at the scene.
