Montgomery Township Police Honored For Support of National Guard, Reserves Employees

A local police department was honored for their employment and support of members of the National Guard and Army Reserves.

Chief Scott Bendig and Officer Daniel Rose accepted the Seven Seals Award that was awarded to the Montgomery Township Police Department.

According to the police department, the award is “presented in recognition of significant organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.”

"We believe it takes a very special person to serve in the military and sacrifice time away from their family and friends, and we are proud to employ these strong individuals," said Chief Bendig.

The Seven Seals Award is given by an organization called Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. This organization is a program under the Department of Defense that seeks to help employers honor the military service of their employees through a variety of means.
