West Main in Street in Lansdale was shut down for a period early Monday afternoon, after a pole was knocked over into the street.
“The directional light near the corner of Main and Broad got ripped right out of the ground, pulling wires down with it, and blocking most of Main Street, “ said the Lansdale Borough Electric Department, via their Facebook page.
Crews made quick work of the situation, though, and the road was back open with no issues by 2:30 p.m.
According to Lansdale Borough Police Chief Michael Trail, the pole came down after it was struck by a truck. More information will be available after the report has been filed, Trail said.
