Hatfield Township Police are asking for the public’s assistance in a shooting incident over the weekend.
On Sunday, shortly after 2 pm, police responded to a report of shots being fired at the 7-Eleven convenience store in the 1600 block of North Broad Street in Hatfield. Witnesses said they’d heard several gunshots fired in the area. Police found a bullet hole in the front window of a nearby business.
Video surveillance showed an orange Hyundai Santa Fe with dark-tinted aftermarket windows and chrome door trim stopped in the parking lot, according to police. The rear door opened and a black male with braided hair, who police say appeared to have been involved with a struggle with the other occupants, suddenly exited and ran off. Shots were fired, and the Santa Fe drove off on North Broad toward Cowpath Road.
No injuries were reported.
Hatfield Township Police ask that anyone with information about the vehicle or the incident call the detective division at (215) 855-0903, or go to the
