Two Bodies Found in Upper Gwynedd

UPDATE: Sept. 12 10:42 a.m. - North Penn Now has confirmed through multiple corroborating sources that a witness observed the man and woman having an argument in the vehicle prior to the incident. Additionally, both sources stated that the bodies of the man and woman were discovered by a 10-year-old girl who was playing in the area of the vehicle. The girl reportedly informed her mother, who then notified police.
 
The identities of the man and woman have not yet been released. We will update this article as more information becomes available.

Two bodies were discovered in a parked vehicle Tuesday afternoon, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and Upper Gwynedd Township Police said Tuesday evening.

A joint investigation with the township police into the apparent homicide is planned, according to the announcement by the DA's office.

The two unidentified persons were found unresponsive by Upper Gwynedd Police in a vehicle parked on Kerwick Court in the township shortly after 4 pm. One, a male driver, was in possession of a handgun; the other was a female passenger, who was a resident of Kerwick Court, the statement said.

The incident appeared to be domestic in nature. Identities are being withheld pending notification of families, and an autopsy is planned.
