The Wawa convenience store and gas station at Route 309 and Walnut Street has been shut down after a report that a suspicious package, wrapped like a Christmas present, was left in front of the store.
Colmar Fire Department, Hatfield Police, the Fire Police from the Fire Department of Montgomery Township, the Volunteer Medical Service Corps and the Montgomery County bomb squad are responding to the call, Thursday night shortly before 9 p.m.
Motorists should avoid the area.
