Lansdale's Underground Decks the Walls With Holiday Art

The season is in full swing! The inertia of the holiday pendulum in the North Penn area seems to be resistant to even the grumpiest of velocity changes. Decorations along every street, and the holiday music not quite getting on everyone's nerves yet, has us right in the sweet spot between "What a lovely time of year!" and "OMG I DIDN'T BUY ANY PRESENTS YET!" Enjoy it, because that sweet spot is soon to turn bitter with the chaos that is the end of the holiday season.

What better way to seize this amazing flavor than with a true taste of the ocularly exotic at Lansdale's very own Deck the Walls Art Show!

This Saturday, Dec. 15 from 4 to 9 pm, the Underground by Round Guys Brewing Company will be holding its first holiday art show. While this is set up and maintained by numerous local veterans of the art world, this show is for our entire community at large! Local artists will have their brains and hearts out for us to not only observe, but also possess!

Paintings, pictures, playful-people-pleasers (that is alliteration for "toys") and perhaps preserved  platypus parts promise peaceful party patronage. Whether it is a coworker you appreciate or your close family and friends you have in mind, this will definitely be the spot to pick up the most unique gifts locally this holiday season. Made local, by local–set up so you can buy local.

With well over a dozen artists setting up, the walls will quite literally need to be decked. The floor space of the Underground demands it, but what a good problem to have! With entrance FREE and the event being for all ages, this is truly a tragedy to miss. Local musicians will be playing, as well as live projections during and in-between the events of the day. Andy "Juice" Pappasergi, Jason Heffner, Tim Balch and the beloved Mesa Glow will be playing chilled-out holiday songs and originals among the patrons of the arts of our lovely world.

The bar will be serving the whole time, and Backyard Beans will be making sure the hallway smells great–so literally even your senses of smell and taste will be catered to! Smell the coffee. Taste the fine-crafted beverages. Hear the music. See the art. Feel the warmth of of town with a reborn arts community. Knock out some holiday shopping while treating all your senses. Unless you're that kid from The Sixth Sense, in that case you basically need to go away because we are a five-sense town.  You can meet us later at the Legion for the L.M.I. release show.
