‘Art in Sacred Spaces’ showcases Souderton-Telford art and local history at area churches
A celebration of art and local history was held in the Souderton-Telford area Saturday, May 16 with the “Art in Sacred Spaces” tour.
Presented by the Souderton-Telford Historical Society, the event offered guests a self-guided tour of community treasures and historical artifacts at six local churches. Participating Souderton churches included St. Phillips Orthodox Church, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Zwingli UCC and Zion Mennonite Church. Trinity UCC and St. Paul’s Lutheran in Telford also participated.
Throughout the tour, guides were on hand to direct guests’ attention to artistic and historical features. Some locations also provided light refreshments and special music.
