Driver freed from vehicle after late-night crash near St. Peter’s Lutheran Church; no injuries reported
Emergency crews responded Sunday night to a crash in North Wales Borough that left an SUV overturned after the driver hit a parked vehicle.
The incident occurred around 10:14 p.m. in front of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at 211 S. Main St. (Sumneytown Pike), according to emergency dispatch reports. Initial calls indicated a gray SUV had collided with a gray Honda Civic parked along the curb before flipping onto its roof.
First responders arrived to find the male driver trapped inside the overturned vehicle, with airbags deployed. The call was upgraded to an “accident with rescue” as crews worked to safely extricate the driver.
Responding agencies included North Penn Volunteer Fire Company, Towamencin Fire Police, North Wales Police, Montgomery Township Fire Police, and VMSC Emergency Medical Services.
Authorities said the driver was freed from the vehicle at the scene. No transports to a hospital were reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
