A new wind sculpture now stands in Souderton’s Rotary Park, adding motion and visual interest to the growing sculpture garden as part of a milestone celebration for a local business.
The Souderton-Telford Rotary Club announced the installation of "Journey with the Wind," a 13-foot-tall double helix horizontal wind sculpture donated by Rotarian and Travel Haus owner Suzi Berry in honor of the company’s 40th anniversary, according to a news release.
Installed during the Rotary Club’s Centennial year, the sculpture is designed to move with the breeze, bringing a dynamic, ever-changing element to the park experience. The piece expands the Rotary Park Sculpture Garden, joining existing artwork dedicated to Rotary member John Moyer and contributing to the park’s evolving collection of public art.
Club leaders said the addition reflects both the continued transformation of Rotary Park as a community gathering space and the impact of a local business choosing to give back in a lasting way.
“Rotary Park was envisioned as a place where community, recreation, and beauty come together,” said Leon Moyer, a past Rotary Club president who led the Rotary Park project. “Journey with the Wind adds a new dimension to that vision, and we are especially grateful to Suzi Berry and Travel Haus for commemorating an important business milestone with a gift the entire community can enjoy.”
Berry, a longtime Rotarian and community supporter, said the sculpture was selected to reflect the spirit of travel and connection.
“Travel Haus has been part of this community for 40 years, and I wanted to celebrate that milestone in a way that gives something lasting back,” Berry said. “Journey with the Wind felt especially meaningful because travel is, at its heart, about movement, discovery, and the journey.”
Rotary officials said the sculpture offers visitors a different experience throughout the day as wind conditions change, creating a sense of motion and discovery within the park’s landscape.
“This is the kind of gift that creates an immediate impact,” said current Rotary Club President Sarah Bergin. “It enhances the park today, but it also becomes part of the experience for families, visitors, and residents for years to come.”
The installation also sets the stage for a community celebration. The public is invited to attend Travel Haus’ 40th anniversary event on May 16 at Rotary Park, where residents can gather to mark the milestone and enjoy the new addition.
