Lansdale Borough is seeking a volunteer to fill a vacancy on its Environmental Advisory Commission, a group focused on promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship within the community.
The commission meets monthly on the third Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Borough Hall and advises borough officials on issues related to conservation, environmental quality and responsible land use.
According to the borough, the commission works to identify environmental concerns, recommend strategies to protect natural resources, and develop programs that support a healthy and resilient community. Members also collaborate with local groups to expand environmental education and outreach.
The Environmental Advisory Commission is chaired by Rob Gladfelter and includes several residents, along with a borough council representative and staff liaisons: Connie Lezenby, Mike Bueke, Sean Greene, Sean Weatherwax, Dave Campolongo, Borough Council Representative Rafia Razzak, Borough Manager John J. Ernst, and Borough Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent Greg Rapp.
There are also Associate Members: Deb Faulkner, Austin Miller, Wayne Stratz, and Joni-Marie Stuchko.
Residents interested in serving are encouraged to submit a letter of interest outlining relevant experience to the borough.
