Harleysville market pairs global cheeses with locally crafted vodka drinks April 6
If your idea of a perfect evening involves limberger, taleggio, sharp cheddar, creamy brie and something chilled in hand that is definitely not water, Henning’s Market has your night planned.
The Harleysville staple is inviting guests to its Community Room on April 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. for a guided tasting that leans into the bold side of the cheese board. Expect a lineup of rich, punchy selections from the store’s Specialty Cheese Department, each paired with ready-to-drink vodka cocktails from Phoenixville-based “not pizza. It’s A Vodka Drink.” Yes, the name is as memorable as the pour.
For $10, attendees get a passport through flavors that range from creamy and mellow to sharp and unapologetically funky, all curated by the market’s specialty team. It is part tasting, part crash course, part “why have I not been pairing these before?”
Registration is required through Henning’s catering office at 215-256-9533 ext. 210.
Henning’s, a sixth-generation, family-owned market dating back to 1889, has built its reputation on turning everyday grocery runs into something closer to an experience. From its expansive cheese selection to house-made meals, bakery items and café offerings, the store has become less of a stop and more of a destination.
And on this particular April evening, it becomes something else entirely: a little corner of Harleysville where cheese meets cocktail, and your taste buds get to have the final word
