Sixth annual culinary event celebrates America’s 250th birthday while raising funds for library programs
The North Wales Area Library is inviting the community to celebrate food, local businesses and the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday during the 6th Annual Taste of Montgomery County, set for Thursday, April 9, 2026.
The popular fundraising event will feature an evening of tastings from local restaurants, breweries and wineries, offering attendees the chance to sample specialties from across the region while supporting one of the community’s most active public resources.
Proceeds from the event benefit the North Wales Area Library, which has earned Gold Star recognition through the PA Forward® Star Library program for its work connecting library programming with community needs. The library has maintained the top-level designation since 2016, reflecting its commitment to literacy, education and community engagement.
The PA Forward® initiative, launched by the Pennsylvania Library Association, highlights libraries that integrate programming across five key literacy areas: basic, information, civic and social, health, and financial literacy. The North Wales Area Library’s continued Gold Star status recognizes its ongoing efforts to expand partnerships, strengthen communication and provide programs that serve residents throughout the region.
Organizers say the Taste of Montgomery County event not only showcases the area’s culinary scene but also helps sustain the library’s educational programs, services and community outreach.
