Lansdale Borough officials are advising motorists to expect delays Thursday as emergency sewer repairs continue along West Main Street.
The traffic signal at West Main Street and Valley Forge Road will be placed into flashing mode, with flaggers directing vehicles through the intersection throughout the day. Drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra travel time in the area.
The work follows an incident Tuesday in which a construction crew struck a gas line, prompting a temporary road closure and emergency response. Fire police shut down part of West Main Street Tuesday morning after the leak was reported, with officials confirming the issue stemmed from a damaged service line at the work site.
Crews remain in the area addressing both the sewer repairs and impacts from the earlier utility incident.
