More than 300 participants took part last year, hosted by The Center for Loss and Bereavement in Skippack and sponsored by The Nello Naticchione IV Family
(The following news release was provided verbatim by The Center for Loss and Bereavement)
The Center for Loss and Bereavement in Skippack, a leading non-profit provider of grief support services, will host its 6th Annual Strides of Hope, a 5K Walk/Run, 1 Mile Fun Walk, and Kids Fun Run to raise support and awareness for the Center and the community we serve. The 2026 Strides of Hope will be held in Heebner Park in Worcester Township on Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Returning as this year's presenting sponsor is The Nello Naticchione IV Family, who for over 20 years has collaborated with the Center to help establish its children’s grief support group program, Nello’s Corner.
Last year, more than 300 walkers/runners participated with dozens of sponsors who raised substantial funds to provide hope and resources for families facing loss. Money raised helps reduce fees for counseling, fund support groups for children (Nello's Corner) and adults, a bereavement summer camp for children (Camp Millie), and community outreach and education.
Individuals are also encouraged to set an individual fundraising goal or sign up to be a team captain and rally your friends and family to join you in a friendly fundraising competition. Awards are offered when various fundraising levels are reached.
