Souderton Borough Manager Sara Jarrett-Eaton has been named one of the recipients of the 2026 Phyllis Lieberman Women’s Trailblazer Scholarship, a program recognizing women advancing leadership in municipal government.

The scholarship, awarded by Delaware Valley Trusts, supports professional development for women serving in local government roles. Jarrett-Eaton was one of three municipal leaders selected for the honor this year.

Each recipient receives $2,000 to help cover costs associated with professional associations or educational advancement, helping strengthen leadership development within local government.

The scholarship program was established in 2018 by the Trusts’ Board of Managers and honors the legacy of Phyllis Lieberman, a longtime municipal leader known for her commitment to public service and strengthening local government.

Along with Jarrett-Eaton, the 2026 scholarship recipients include Amanda Fean, assistant township manager for Upper Merion Township, and Caitlin Hernandez, director of parks and recreation for Doylestown Borough.

Officials with Delaware Valley Trusts said the program aims to support emerging and established women leaders in municipal government while encouraging continued professional growth and service in their communities.
