On Thursday, Feb. 26, general surgeon Paul Minkovich, DO, completed Jefferson Lansdale Hospital’s 700th robotic procedure. Minkovich used the technology to perform a cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal), marking a major milestone for the hospital and the community it serves.

Robotic technology at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital continues to advance minimally invasive care — enhancing precision, shortening recovery times and driving stronger outcomes for patients across the region. This achievement represents the powerful combination of experienced surgical leadership and forward-thinking innovation in action.

“I’m grateful for the dedicated operative team that works alongside me on these cases,” Minkovich says. “This significant milestone belongs to them, too. Having an excellent team using the most-advanced technologies transforms the patient experience and improves outcomes.”

Looking ahead, Minkovich is eager to help more patients by expanding access to advanced minimally invasive surgical care.
