A Perkasie man charged in connection with a screwdriver stabbing during a dispute over a vape device last month has been held for court in Bucks County Common Pleas Court, though the most serious charge filed against him has been withdrawn.

Alexander Harskuti, 21, advanced to the county court level following a preliminary hearing Tuesday in Magisterial District Court.

The felony count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was withdrawn, while other charges including aggravated assault and related offenses remain., according to court records.

Police allege the incident occurred around 12:10 p.m. Feb. 25, 2026 at 50 Fairview Ave. in Perkasie, where officers responded to a report of a stabbing. According to investigators, the victim told police Harskuti struck him with hair clippers during an argument before retrieving a screwdriver and stabbing him multiple times in the upper back as the victim attempted to flee.

The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Grand View Hospital with stab wounds and broken ribs that police said were not life-threatening. Authorities said Harskuti fled the scene but later contacted police and was located at Drunkenmiller Park in Sellersville, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Court records show Harskuti previously received probation and court-ordered anger management in 2024 after pleading guilty to harassment and disorderly conduct. He also previously served a short jail sentence related to marijuana possession and other summary offenses.

Harskuti continues to be held in Bucks County Prison, where bail was reduced from 10% of $300,000 cash to 10% of $150,000 cash, according to court records. He is represented by the Bucks County Public Defender’s Office, with a formal arraignment scheduled for April 10 in county court.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
