Trinity Lutheran Church to host display on March 15
One of Philadelphia’s most interesting museums is coming to Trinity Lutheran Church on March 15.
The Lest We Forget Museum of Slavery provides a unique historical perspective into the reality of slavery for Africans brought to America by exhibiting authentic slavery artifacts and highlighting the contributions they have made in the building of America.
Justin Ragsdale has spent a lifetime collecting artifacts that document the history and experience of enslavement in the U.S.
Gwen Ragsdale is the director of the Lest We Forget Museum of Slavery established in 2002 to share their collection with the public.

They will be bringing their traveling exhibit to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, on March 15 from noon to 2 p.m.
A 45-minute presentation will begin at 12:15. The community is invited to this free special event.
Prior traveling exhibits have been held at Penn State University, Temple University, Cheyney University and various NAACP conventions, according to the museum’s website.
The museum also operates a permanent exhibit at 5501 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia, with visits available by appointment only. For more information visit www.lwfsm.com.
