The Pennridge School District is finalizing an elementary school redistricting plan aimed at balancing enrollment, with upwards of 200 students potentially impacted in the 2026-2027 school year.

The new map transfers a section of Bedminster’s northwest territory to Deibler’s zone, shifts a portion of Grasse’s northern territory into Sellersville’s zone and moves a section of Seylar’s southern territory into Grasse’s zone, among other boundary changes.

The redistricting plan, the first in over 20 years, follows an enrollment study finding uneven enrollment changes across the district’s seven elementary schools, with increasing enrollment at Bedminster, Sellersville and Seylar and decreasing enrollment at Deibler, Grasse, Guth and West Rockhill.

At the Monday, March 2 student services committee meeting, Assistant Superintendent Bradley Palmer said that the map reflects some of the community’s top priorities, including minimal disruptions, neighborhood cohesion and long-term stability.

Additional tweaks are planned, said Palmer, raising concerns about divisions in the Bedminster Hunt and Sterling Knoll neighborhoods as well as Perkasie borough. Further adjustments will be made following feedback from the district’s transportation department to ensure efficient bus routes, Palmer added.

Palmer also noted that the district “should have room” for fourth grade students seeking to complete their final year at their current elementary schools.

The redistricting plan is scheduled for final approval at the board’s March 23 meeting. Families will be informed of the changes in April, with the ability to apply for exemptions. The transportation department will begin rerouting elementary routes in May. Implementation is planned for the 2026-2027 school year, said school officials.

The next Pennridge School Board meeting is on March 23 at 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit pennridge.org
