A woman with three prior retail theft convictions is facing new felony charges after police said she stole alcohol multiple times from a Montgomery Township state store last month.
Rhonda Regina Tucker aka Lisa Smith, 63, who has no listed address, was arrested Dec. 31, 2025, after Montgomery Township Police were called to the Fine Wine & Good Spirits at 1210 Bethlehem Pike for a report of a suspicious person known for past thefts, police said.
Store staff told officers the woman had just left in a white Dodge Grand Caravan. Police stopped the vehicle nearby and identified Tucker as the driver, police said.
Investigators said store surveillance showed Tucker selecting a $79.99 bottle of Don Julio Rosado tequila and concealing it in a handbag before leaving without paying. Officers said Tucker later turned over the unopened bottle during the traffic stop.
According to the criminal complaint, Tucker was also identified in four additional thefts at the same store between Nov. 25 and Dec. 26, 2025. Police allege she stole $223.94 worth of liquor on Nov. 25, $235.96 on Nov. 28, $257.95 on Dec. 8, and $281.94 on Dec. 26.
Court records show Tucker has prior retail theft convictions from Abington Township in 1988, Bensalem Township in 2015, and Abington Township again in 2018.
Tucker is charged with felony retail theft and receiving stolen property. She is free on $5,000 unsecured bail and is represented by a public defender.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
