The Center will soon expand the Grief Informed Partner designation to other private-sector companies that interact with people experiencing loss

The Center for Loss and Bereavement (the Center) in Skippack, a leading non-profit provider of grief support services, has named Prepared Retirement Institute in Montgomery Township, as a Grief Informed Partner.
Grief often creates emotional, practical, and financial challenges all at once. Drawing on experience supporting individuals impacted by loss — along with training provided by the Center — PRI offers grief-informed financial planning practices that prioritize patience, clarity, and respect for each person’s grieving process. The Grief Informed Partnership reflects a collaborative relationship between the Center and PRI dedicated to education and support for grieving individuals and families.
Through the partnership, the Center and PRI will offer interactive workshops, educational seminars, and informational resources on topics such as financial planning after the death of a loved one, navigating survivor benefits, and important considerations when making decisions during periods of acute grief. By working together, the Center and PRI offer an integrated support model, providing professional counseling support and compassionate, grief-informed financial guidance during one of life’s most difficult transitions.
“Grief does not exist in isolation — it affects every aspect of a person’s life,” said Christopher Grosso, executive director of the Center. “By having PRI as a Grief Informed Partner, we can help ensure that the people we serve feel supported in both emotional and practical terms, with financial guidance that honors their timing and needs.”
Andy Dziedzic, CEO of PRI, said, “We believe financial planning should be human-centered, especially during moments of loss. The Grief Informed Partner designation reflects our commitment to education around grief and to approaching client relationships with care, dignity, and respect.”
The Center will soon expand the Grief Informed Partner designation to other private-sector companies that interact with people experiencing loss and have demonstrated a commitment to understanding grief.
