No 1-Up to grab here and no save point -- it is game over for four area GameStop locations, leaving stores in Hatfield, Montgomery, and Upper Providence townships in operation for our region.

As the video game retailer continues to scale back its brick-and-mortar presence across the country. three GameStop stores serving the Bucks County area have closed in recent weeks, including locations in Quakertown at West End Boulevard, which closed on Jan. 8, and in Richboro and Warminster, both shuttered as of Jan. 6.

A fourth store in Willow Grove, just over the Montgomery County line, has also closed. Employees at the Warminster location were directing customers to other nearby stores before the closure, according to callers and PhillyBurbs.com.

All existing orders/preorders and graded card submissions from the Quakertown store were sent to the Airport Center location in Allentown.

The shutdowns have cut the number of GameStop locations in Bucks County in half, leaving only two stores still operating: Levittown and Fairless Hill.

GameStop has not released a comprehensive list of stores slated for closure and has not commented on whether the remaining Bucks County locations are at risk.

The company previously disclosed plans to close a “significant number” of stores during its 2025 fiscal year, which concludes Jan. 31, as it continues to adjust to declining in-store traffic and a growing shift toward digital game purchases.
